About the Role:

We are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 Contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a secure government scheme near Gloucester, delivering a high-specification project for the Ministry of Justice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically complex and high-profile development, with the potential to progress into further major projects locally.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily site operations to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site

*

Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and project-specific security requirements

*

Report progress and challenges to the project and senior management team

*

Coordinate with internal departments and client-side representatives

*

Maintain strong communication and site discipline in a secure working environment

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on public-sector or secure facility projects (e.g., MoJ, education, healthcare)

*

Background with Tier 1 or established Tier 2 main contractors

*

In-depth understanding of construction best practices, safety protocols, and government standards

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications essential

*

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills

*

Comfortable working within high-security project environments
