Principal Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: £55k-£65k

About the Role:
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a long-established manufacturer who are seeking a Principal Engineer to provide structural, reliability, and technical analysis across a range of high-integrity products. You'll lead analysis activities, support development and verification, and act as a key technical interface within a regulated, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver structural, reliability, and system safety analysis

* Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions

* Define and oversee development and qualification tests

* Maintain and improve in-house analysis tools and methods

* Produce technical documents (stress reports & test plans)

* Support design reviews and programme verification activities

* Act as the project focal point for stress and reliability matters

Key Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering or Science

* Strong knowledge of classical structural analysis and linear FEA

* Experience in regulated industries (aerospace & automotive)

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively

* Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills

* MathCAD experience

* Reliability engineering (FMECA, FTA)
