Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Location: Staffordshire

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days  (6am-6pm)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a fast-paced, high-performing team in the FMCG industry? We are currently recruiting for an experienced engineer to join our maintenance department, supporting continuous production and ensuring minimal downtime in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to breakdowns across production lines

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation faults on a range of FMCG machinery

Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to output

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within an FMCG or similar manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (multiskilled preferred)

Understanding of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)

Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above, or equivalent)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and reliable approach
