THE POSITION

St. James’s Hospital delivers a wide range of surgical services at a local, regional and national level. The SACC (Surgery, Anaesthesia and Critical Care Directorate) Directorate programme focuses on the surgical patient process from outpatients through to discharge. Core principles are based around safe, personal, clinically effective and high quality service to all patients, with clear accountability for all staff members. While, the Urology Department provides a service for patients who suffer from problems with Kidney’s, Bladder, Prostate and general “Water-Works”.

THE LOCATION

Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and sits on Ireland’s east coast at the mouth of the beautiful River Liffey. It is a multi-cultural, creative hub and in 2010 was even designated as a UNESCO City of Literature in recognition of its cultural profile and international standing. Dublin is modern and exciting city but is also home to many historic buildings and heritage sites such as Dublin Castle. Dublin is an extremely diverse city and there is always a wide range of events and activities to engage in.

& ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA?

  • Registered General Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Board of& Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register

  • A minimum of 12 months acute hospital experience& within the last 3 years in a 200+ bedded hospital

  • European Union Trained Nurses-& Academic IETLTS is not required for nurses who have trained within the European Union (EU).

  • Academic IELTS is an essential NMBI requirement for those who have trained outside of the EU. The following are the required scores (S-7, W-7, R-6.5, L-6.5)
