UK Driving License essential Temp to Perm Entry Level position

Our client, a well-established organisation operating within a specialist technical environment, is seeking a Cable Assistant to join its operations team based in High Wycombe. This is a hands-on, entry-level position offering structured training and long-term development within a fast-paced operational setting.

A permanent position will be offered after a successful temporary trial period has been completed.

The successful candidate will support equipment preparation, vehicle loading, on-site assistance, and general warehouse operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to develop practical technical skills within a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading specialist vehicles in line with load sheets and operational requirements
• Safe unloading and checking of equipment following project completion
• Preparing, testing, maintaining, and organising cabling systems (full training provided)
• Supporting fibre-related technical tasks (training provided)
• Assisting with stock control and equipment organisation
• Carrying out general warehouse duties
• Undertaking occasional driving duties using company vehicles
• Supporting on-site teams with setup and de-rig activities
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety compliance at all times
• Completing relevant documentation accurately
• Participating in a weekend rota shared across the team

Candidate Profile

• Strong desire to learn and develop within a technical environment
• Conscientious and reliable work ethic
• Excellent timekeeping
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of manual handling
• Full UK driving license essential
• Previous warehouse, logistics, technical support, or events-based experience advantageous but not essential
