Job Title: Wheel & Tyre Standards Engineer - Technical Product Development

Location: Warwickshire

EES Solution is seeking a passionate and technically capable Wheel & Tyre Standards Engineer to join our client's Core Wheel & Tyre Team. This is a pivotal role in the development of future vehicle platforms, where you will contribute to the creation and implementation of standards, test procedures, and tools to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient wheel and tyre systems.

You will work across multiple functions—engineering, design, testing, manufacturing, and research—providing expertise that influences the direction of vehicle architecture and component development. This role offers a great opportunity to be involved at the early stages of product development, as well as in forward-looking technologies related to wheel and tyre systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Define and develop requirements and test procedures for:

* Wheels

* Tyres

* Valves

* Wheel and tyre assemblies

* Puncture Management Systems (PMS)

* Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

* Conduct and contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)

* Analyse test and design data, draw conclusions, and produce technical reports

* Assist in developing tools and processes to support wheel & tyre engineering activities

* Continuously seek process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements through digital, simulation, and CAE techniques

* Liaise effectively with cross-functional teams including attributes, marketing, manufacturing, research, and regulatory affairs

* Perform other duties in line with the role, as directed by the line manager

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

* Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with broad guidance

* Proven capability in authoring technical documentation and standards

* Analytical thinking and excellent written/reporting skills

* Basic project management skills, able to manage tasks and timelines effectively

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable:

* Familiarity with:

* Wheel and/or tyre development processes

* Wheel or tyre manufacturing and assembly

* Puncture Management and Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems

* Experience in defining technical requirements, test procedures, or minimum standards

* Background in quality management or failure mode analysis

* Exposure to digital engineering tools and simulation-driven development

* Understanding of full vehicle product development and engineering integration

Education:

* Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
