Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty Team

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Safeguard vulnerable children and report concerns in line with policy.
  • Undertake early help and child in need assessments to identify risks and support needs.
  • Provide targeted family support, including planned interventions and crisis response.
  • Work directly with children, young people and families to build supportive, structured relationships.
  • Support families to make and sustain positive changes, offering both support and challenge.
  • Manage a Child in Need caseload and contribute to child protection processes where required.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to ensure coordinated support.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain up-to-date case records.
  • Lead or participate in Child in Need meetings and reviews.
  • Work independently in the community, including home visits and lone working.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold all legal, policy and practice standards.
  • Complete required training and undertake additional duties appropriate to the role.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
