Warehouse Team Manager, (Mon-Fri & Days)
Loom Talent are supporting a national client with the appointment of a Warehouse Team Manager, (Mon-Fri & Days) for their distribution centre in Reading.
As Warehouse Team Manager, (Mon-Fri & Days) you will play a significant part in the running of an extremely fast-paced distribution centre, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and employee development.
Role & Responsibilities
- People Management: Lead, motivate, and coach warehouse staff to meet team goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Operational Control: Manage daily warehouse tasks such as picking, receiving, replenishment, and loading stock in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health & safety protocols and legislation and conduct regular audits.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor productivity, carry out investigations, and manage absence or performance issues.
- Planning: Coordinate workloads to meet daily and weekly service targets.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading large teams in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and warehouse legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience in a fast-paced environment within an in-house or 3PL business.
