Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 6 students in line with the National Curriculum.

* Prepare students for their end of Key Stage 2 assessments, ensuring they feel confident and ready for their next educational steps.

* Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for further development.

* Foster a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom that promotes a love for learning.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery of the curriculum and share best practices.

* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

* Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and wider school activities as required.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Previous experience teaching Year 6 or in a similar primary school setting.

* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience preparing students for Key Stage 2 SATs.

* Excellent classroom management and the ability to motivate students to achieve their best.

* A passionate, student-focused teacher with a commitment to raising academic achievement.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
