Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Hard Services Projects Engineer to join our team at BAE Submarines. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality facilities management services within a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage hard services projects within the BAE Submarines site, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate project activities effectively.
- Utilise your technical expertise to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and fire safety systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the onsite engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Act as a point of contact for client queries and concerns, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the facilities management or engineering industry, with a strong background in hard services.
- Sound knowledge of project management principles, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a desire to continually improve and innovate.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
