Secondary Cover Supervisor - Secondary School in Lancaster

This is a full-time, long-term position (Monday to Friday) perfect for those looking to build their experience in secondary education or career changers seeking a new challenge.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee classes across various subjects during the short-term absence of permanent teachers. You won't be expected to teach the curriculum from scratch; instead, you will:

Deliver pre-set work left by the department to ensure learning continues.

Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a focused and safe environment.

Support pupils with their tasks and answer any general queries.

Ensure the school's behavior policy is followed consistently.

Pay: Competitive rates from £105 - £160 per day (based on experience and scale).

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday (approx. 8:30 am - 3:30 pm).

What We Are Looking For:

A degree (in any subject) or significant experience working with groups of young people (e.g., coaching, youth work, or military background).

A reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
