Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with the GCSE curriculum.

Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature exams through targeted instruction and intervention.

Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Monitor, assess, and report on students' progress and provide constructive feedback.

Contribute to the development of schemes of work and assessment materials.

Support students with coursework, controlled assessments, and exam techniques.

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.

Participate in departmental meetings, training, and school events.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.

Person Specification:

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

*

Experience teaching English at KS4 level.

Strong knowledge of the GCSE English Language and Literature specifications.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

Ability to inspire and motivate students.
