Sixth Form PSHE and RE Teacher - Full-Time - January to July | Derby

We are a leading education agency in the Derby area, representing a high-performing Sixth Form, and we are looking to appoint a dedicated PSHE and RE Teacher from January to July. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality PSHE and RE to post-16 learners and supporting their personal development, wellbeing, and preparation for life beyond school.

From our perspective as education professionals working closely with the school, the successful candidate will join a collaborative, forward-thinking team where PSHE and RE are highly valued as a core part of the Sixth Form curriculum. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, thought-provoking PSHE and RE lessons that inspire students and support their growth academically and personally.

The school offers an exceptional working environment with modern facilities, a strong pastoral structure, and a culture that fosters staff development. Teachers delivering PSHE and RE benefit from excellent support, clear leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to innovative curriculum projects.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Deliver high-quality Sixth Form PSHE and RE lessons that meet curriculum objectives

*

Support students' personal, social, and emotional development through PSHE and RE

*

Contribute to the ongoing development of the PSHE and RE programme

*

Collaborate with pastoral and academic teams to ensure consistency and impact in PSHE and RE provision

*

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Requirements:

*

Experience or confidence teaching PSHE and RE at KS5 or post-16 level

*

Strong behaviour management, classroom organisation, and communication skills

*

Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge Sixth Form students

*

Proactive, reflective, and committed to professional growth

*

QTS preferred, but experienced post-16 educators will also be considered

This role is ideal for a teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact through PSHE and RE, working in a supportive and high-achieving Sixth Form environment, backed by a leading local education agency
