Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Milk Education is seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Halifax. The school provides a purposeful, inclusive learning environment where students with special educational needs and disabilities can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Use a range of SEND teaching strategies to support diverse learners, including those with ASD, SEMH, and speech and language needs

Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning space

Provide detailed, constructive feedback on students' work

Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development

Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Proven experience teaching in a SEND or inclusive education setting

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated planning

Confident delivering maths, literacy, and foundation subjects

Knowledge of speech and language support strategies is an advantage

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and feedback
