General Cover Teacher

Salary Scale: £130 - £170 per day

About the Role:
GSL Education are currently recruiting a skilled General Cover Teacher for positions in Newcastle. This role involves covering classes across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher, providing continuity of education for students.

Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set work to classes across different year groups and subjects.
Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods to cater to the varying needs and learning styles of students.
Provide feedback on student engagement and understanding.
Manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy and safe environment.
The successful candidate will:

Possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
Have experience in teaching or cover supervision in a secondary school setting.
Be flexible and enthusiastic about working with students of various age groups.
Hold relevant qualifications, such as a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
