Venn Group is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Payable Officer on behalf of a leading charity. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation and provide vital support by ensuring accurate and timely financial transaction processing. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate and compliant expense and payable records, with a particular focus on delivering an efficient expenses service.

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Manage end-to-end staff expense processing, ensuring all claims comply with internal policies and charity sector standards
• Process purchase invoices, supplier setup, payment runs, and AP-related reconciliations
• Maintain the purchase ledger and respond promptly to internal and external queries
• Monitor and maintain accurate supplier and expense records within the finance system
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations and support month-end AP tasks including accruals
• Support best-practice financial processes across the organisation, providing clear and helpful guidance to staff
• Assist with process improvement initiatives, including opportunities for workflow automation

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Significant experience within Accounts Payable, with clear evidence of strong staff expense processing capability
• Experience within the charity or wider not-for-profit sector is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Unit4 Business World (Agresso) ERP system would be a strong advantage
• Strong Excel proficiency, including confident use of formulas, lookups, and data manipulation
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Pay rate: £18 -£19 per hour

Working hours: Full-time

Working pattern: 2 days per week on-site
