My client an established life science's organisation with office in London and Stevenage is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to manage the day-to-day Facilities Functions across both sites.
The position will be covering the current postholder who will be on Maternity leave (approx. 9-12 months).
The role will also have an important role to play in helping the organisation plan for their new building in Kings Cross where they will bring together their teams currently in London and Stevenage in a new building.
The successful candidate would need to have a proven track record of office moves (in moving in excess of 120 employees) and sound knowledge of contractor management (all services)
Key Responsibilities.
- Lead four members of staff split between Stevenage and London, ensuring adequate cover (for example during annual leave and sickness) and consistently high standards across both sites.
- Manage relationships with building management and suppliers of facilities services e.g. cleaning, catering, ensuring high level of service and value for money
- Budget responsibility for all equipment and services required within the facilities function
- Play a lead role in planning for a site move from their London HQ and Stevenage to a single building in Kings Cross currently scheduled for 2025
- Lead any site adaptations including the liaison with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Work with reception team and other functions to provide value add admin services in any down time the team have
- Support events held on site e.g. townhall type meetings, meet the board sessions and occasional events which take which may include
Responsible for a healthy and safe environment at London and for the non-laboratory areas in Stevenage
Fully on site until established then a 4/1 hybrid pattern (1 day per week from home)
Travel to the Stevenage building up to once per week
Candidates to be NEBOSH OR IOSH certified.
Salary 55 - 60k (Pro rota) + Bonus
Benefits - 31 days holiday per year including bank holidays (Pro rota)
A matching pension contribution of 12%
Working 36 hours per week Monday - Friday
Interviews to commence on the 6th and 7th July, start date 1st week in August (possibly sooner)
