Senior H&S Manager - Construction - East London - £75-£85k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We are currently recruiting a Senior Construction H&S Manager for one of the UK's largest Property and Real Estate Developers based in London. You will be responsible for a portfolio of prestigious / high value projects with the aim of transforming urban spaces into extraordinary environments.

You will also support the H&S Director in developing and introducing new and engaging initiatives that will see continuous health and safety performance improvement is achieved across the business.

Additional responsibilities will include:

* Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the health and safety team, site managers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and the Building Safety Act (BSA).

* Spearhead the development of initiatives that will lead to continuous performance improvement across construction projects.

* Be active in the process of assessing the health and safety competency of contractors prior to appointment, during their employment and at the close of their contract.

* Foster and maintain active day to day relationships with contractors' staff, with a view to creating a co-operative working relationship.

* Inspect and monitor all construction site activities with a view to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, report shortcomings and advice as appropriate on remedial action.

* Audit and review the implementation of the health and safety management system.

* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and prepare regular reports for senior management.

* Stay abreast of emerging health and safety trends, regulations and best practices and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance our safety performance.

* Work closely with other departments within the business to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of construction projects.

* Collaborate with the Health and Safety management department to share best practices, coordinate initiatives and ensure consistency in health and safety standards across the project.

* Lead accident and incident investigations, analyse root causes, and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks while ensuring timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent / working towards.

* Previous experience working on major construction projects in a Senior Health and Safety role.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

* Strong engagement and leadership skills
