Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Blyth area to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting immediately.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, providing structured one-to-one support for children with a range of additional needs. You will follow a clear timetable, working with different pupils during morning and afternoon sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone patient, nurturing, and adaptable, who has a genuine passion for supporting children's academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with additional needs

Support children with ASD, ADHD, and complex needs

Keep pupils engaged, focused, and motivated throughout the school day

Prepare learning resources and assist with tailored activities

Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team

✅ Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEND (particularly Autism and complex needs)

A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to supporting pupils' academic and emotional development
