Transport Coordinator

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, Full Time

The Role

We are currently looking for a Transport Coordinator to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in Chelmsford. This role will involve supporting the day-to-day coordination of vehicle movements, driver schedules, and deliveries to ensure operations run efficiently and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple moving parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily transport schedules and vehicle movements
• Liaising with drivers to ensure routes and delivery schedules are followed
• Monitoring vehicle and driver activity to ensure efficient operations
• Communicating with customers and internal teams regarding deliveries and schedules
• Assisting with route planning and transport administration
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and transport regulations
• Supporting the wider transport team with operational tasks as required

Requirements

• Previous transport or logistics experience preferred
• CPC qualification preferred but not essential
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Good IT skills and familiarity with transport systems or Microsoft Office
• A proactive and reliable approach to work

Package

• £28,000 - £30,000 salary
• Monday to Friday working
• Full-time, permanent position
