Are you a seasoned Mechanical Estimator looking for your next big opportunity? We're working on behalf of a leading contractor in the water sector, seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their high-performing team in Warrington.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to split your time between the office and working remotely, while playing a key part in multi-million-pound infrastructure projects.

Your Role:

As Senior Mechanical Estimator, you'll take a lead role in estimating and cost planning across high-value water infrastructure schemes. You'll produce detailed estimates from both technical documentation and schedule benchmarks, contributing to competitive and accurate project pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare bottom-up mechanical estimates from drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Conduct top-down benchmarking using cost curves and schedules of rates.
Collaborate with the bid team to ensure full project scope coverage.
Identify risks, omissions, and pricing variations.
Review material and subcontractor quotations for scope and value.
Lead the development of the “Tender Book” for presentation.
Conduct site visits during tender phase.
What We're Looking For:

Formal qualifications in a Mechanical discipline.
Previous estimating experience with a major contractor, ideally within the water sector.
Familiarity with clean and wastewater projects (capital or maintenance).
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to suggest alternative process options.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills; CCS 'Candy' experience is a bonus.
Commercially aware, collaborative and client-focused.
Full UK driving licence.
