Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Huddersfield Office-Based (with site visits)

We're looking for a commercially savvy Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team in Huddersfield. You'll work across fast-track leisure and F&B fit-out projects, from major rollouts to bespoke high-end venues, primarily for repeat clients including Five Guys, Burger King, Dishoom, Nando's, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce and price schedules of works from design drawings (mostly in Excel)

Price PQS schedules when provided (most projects are negotiated)

*

Send out and negotiate supplier/sub-contractor enquiries

*

Use our in-house Excel cost plan to formulate quotations

*

Lead value engineering, attend client cost meetings

*

Take off quantities and place supplier/sub-contractor orders

*

Track ongoing project costs, variations, and final accounts

*

Manage subbie/supplier accounts - we have a solid, long-term supply chain

*

Work informally under JCT contracts (admin managed by directors)

*

Build relationships with specific clients/brands

*

Report directly to Commercial Director/MD

*

Typically 4 days office / 1 day site per week (nationwide travel as needed)

What We're Looking For:

Someone confident managing both QS and estimating duties

*

Strong with Excel and hands-on with numbers

*

Able to commute daily to our Huddersfield office

*

Comfortable with occasional nationwide travel
