Electrical Engineer
Location: UK-wide (Nationwide Travel Required)
Salary: £50,000 per year + benefits

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including electrical testing and inspection, electrical installation and remedial works, and emergency lighting testing and repairs, across commercial and public sector sites nationwide.
You will be expected to work to a high standard of safety and compliance, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
Key Duties
🔹 Electrical Responsibilities:

Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
*
Carry out electrical installation works and upgrades
*
Perform electrical remedial works following inspection reports
*
Diagnose and repair electrical faults
*
Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately
🔹 Emergency Lighting Responsibilities:
*
Carry out emergency lighting testing and inspections
*
Perform remedial works on emergency lighting systems
*
Ensure compliance with current emergency lighting regulations
🔹 General:
*
Work safely and in compliance with BS 7671 and Health & Safety standards
*
Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle
*
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
*
Travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays
Requirements
Essential:
*
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
*
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
*
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test & Inspection)
*
Full UK Driving Licence
*
Proven experience in electrical testing, installations, and remedials
*
Knowledge of emergency lighting systems and standards
Desirable:
*
ECS / JIB Gold Card
*
Experience with NICEIC or equivalent certification software
