HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Location: Inverness
Salary: £45,500 (£20ph)
Hours: Early & Late Shift Rotation + Alternate Saturday 7 - 12 Mornings
Contract: Permanent

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and growing workshop in Inverness. With 4 bays, 2 ramps, and a team of 8 skilled technicians, you'll be part of a well-equipped and supportive environment that values quality work and professional development.

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing both HGV and LCV vehicles. From routine maintenance to diagnostics and more complex repairs, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet on the road.

* £20.00 per hour

* Overtime paid at x1.5, and double time on Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles

* Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge

* Complete necessary paperwork and service records to a high standard

* Work within health and safety regulations and company standards

* Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required

* Liaise with parts and service teams to ensure timely vehicle turnaround

* Participate in early and late shift patterns and alternate Saturday mornings

About You:

* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role

* Confident working on both HGV and LCV vehicles

* Strong diagnostic and repair skills

* Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
