A1 Jobs is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a well-established business based in Glasgow City Centre. This is an excellent role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing high-volume payrolls.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage end-to-end payroll processing across various schedules: weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annually

* Process starters, leavers, holiday pay, statutory payments, and earnings arrestments

* Oversee all aspects of automatic pension enrolment:

* Set up new pension schemes

* Assess employee eligibility

* Process pension deductions

* Upload contributions to relevant providers

* Submit required information to The Pensions Regulator in line with statutory deadlines

* Communicate regularly with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to resolve payroll queries

* Liaise with HMRC to address and resolve payroll-related issues

Candidate Profile:

* Proven experience in a payroll role, particularly with high-volume processing

* Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and pension auto-enrolment

* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach

* Ability to manage deadlines and work accurately under pressure
