Are you a results-driven, self-motivated sales professional with experience in the Battery Energy Storage (BESS), Power Generation or broader energy solutions sector? Are you excited by the opportunity to make a real impact within the UK's growing renewable energy space?

On behalf of our client, a leading name in critical power and energy management solutions, we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the BESS market. This is a new and growing division of a very well established power and Energy company who already have a huge presence in the UK and globally.

About the Role: Business Development Manager

This is a home-based role with UK-wide coverage, focused on identifying and securing new business within the Battery Energy Storage market (BESS). Your primary targets will include:

* Solar farms

* Telecoms

* Manufacturing organisations

* High-energy-use industrial businesses

You'll have full autonomy to manage your diary, plan visits, and drive engagement with potential customers.

Key Responsibilities: Business Development Manager

* Proactively identify, target, and qualify new BESS opportunities

* Conduct face-to-face meetings and client presentations

* Build relationships with decision-makers across target sectors

* Stay informed on UK energy trends, pricing, and developments

* Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to close

* Work closely with technical and commercial teams to tailor solutions

What We're Looking For: Business Development Manager

* Proven track record in new business sales, ideally within BESS, energy management, or renewable sectors

* Strong understanding of energy usage challenges faced by industrial businesses

* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

* Self-starter with a resilient and target-driven approach

* Able to travel throughout the UK as required

* Strong technical aptitude

Salary & Benefits:

* £60,000 - £70,000 pa basic salary

* Generous bonus/commission scheme (30-40%)

* £9,000 pa car allowance

* Employer pension contribution
