Space Systems EngineerKey Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and guide the development of electronics systems within supply chain, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards from a systems engineering perspective.
- Act as a technical liaison between external electronics suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Apply ECSS engineering standards (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-10, ECSS-E-ST-20, ECSS-E-ST-50) across the system lifecycle, from design to integration and testing.
- Support the review of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system architectures for space applications.
- Participate in system-level testing, validation, and verification, ensuring compliance with mission requirements.
Space Systems EngineerRequirements:
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in systems engineering, ideally within aerospace, defence, or space.
- Familiarity with ECSS standards (e.g., systems-level ECSS-E-ST-10, ECSS-E-ST-20).
- Aptitude for electronics practical exposure through work, projects, or hobbies (formal qualifications not required).
Desirable
- Experience with space mission integration, testing, and certification (thermal, vibration, radiation).
- Exposure to microcontrollers, FPGAs, or embedded systems (not mandatory but beneficial).
