Intro

Our company was established in 2014 as a family business and has grown over the last decade to become Scotland's leading energy efficiency installer. Head quartered in Irvine, Ayrshire and operating exclusively in Scotland, we aspire to grow into the largest retrofit installer.

Gaining significant investment in the business in 2020 has allowed the business to drive growth, becoming the go-to trusted and reliable retrofit installer in Scotland. We install energy efficient measures in domestic properties, such as Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charge Points and Insulation. Governed by our core values and mission statement, we aspire to create a zero-carbon fuel wealthy world.

We have large volumes of funding in place to deliver ECO/ GBIS projects in Scotland, partnering with 18 Scottish local authorities. We are actively seeking a talented and qualified Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs estimates, budgets and contractual matters for our retrofit projects.

As an MCICS-qualified Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside our highly skilled team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Job Title

Quantity Surveyor (MRCIS)

The Role:

* Oversee cost management of retrofit projects, including budget preparation, cost tracking, and financial reporting.

* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for retrofit works, including material and labour costs.

* Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.

* Monitor project progress and report on financial performance, identifying any cost discrepancies or risks.

* Review and advise on contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and client requirements.

* Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

* Provide expert advice on cost-related matters and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

* Ensure effective change management and assess the financial impact of variations.

The Individual:

* MRICS Qualification is essential.

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (ideally within the retrofit or construction industry)

* Excellent knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract law.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

* Effective communication and negotiation skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
