Pay rate: £13.61ph, (inclusive of attendance allowance £25 per week). Overtime also available.

Working 5-days a week: 18:00pm to 03:00am - Sunday to Thursday

A family-run name with a long-standing reputation for quality meats, is looking for a dedicated and motivated Knife Hand / Catering Assistant to join our production team in Southampton.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for preparing and producing select cuts of meat to support our butchery and wholesale operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with knife skills and an interest in developing a career in the butchery industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Use knives to trim, portion, and prepare raw meat products to specification

* Support the butchers and production team with daily tasks

* Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards at all times

* Follow instructions for custom and bulk orders

* Work efficiently in a chilled production environment

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience using knives in a kitchen, catering, or food prep environment

* Comfortable handling raw meat in a chilled setting
Physically fit and able to work on your feet throughout the shift

* Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic

* Willingness to learn, take instruction, and work as part of a team

* Punctual, reliable, and respectful of food safety practices
