Mechanical Project Manager

Altera Recruitment Group is working on behalf of a respected engineering contractor within the UK water sector. They are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical works across clean and wastewater projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a well-established team and play a pivotal role in project execution from design to commissioning.

Key responsibilities of a Mechanical Project Manager:

* Manage mechanical project delivery on water infrastructure and non-infrastructure sites.

* Lead the coordination of internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution.

* Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance on all assigned projects.

* Provide technical input throughout project lifecycle, including design reviews and commissioning.

* Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the water or utilities sector.

* HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

* Solid understanding of mechanical plant, systems, and treatment processes in the water industry.

* Experience working under AMP frameworks with Tier 1/2 contractors.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional sites.
