Credit Controller

Location: London Liverpool Street (2 days remote working available)

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking to join a supportive, collaborative finance team? Reed Accountancy is partnering with a well-established organisation seeking a confident, detail-driven professional to help manage customer invoicing, resolve payment issues, and maintain healthy debtor levels across the business.

As a Credit Controller, you’ll be working collaboratively in a team of three, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices, resolving queries, and building strong relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders within the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contacting customers by email and telephone phone to resolve non-payment issues, logging all communication accurately
  • Reviewing customer accounts, identifying errors, requesting refunds, and updating contact details where needed
  • Managing all invoice-related queries and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Reporting regularly to the Finance Manager on debtor levels and overdue accounts
  • Assisting the Team Leader in developing and refining credit control procedures to maintain target debtor levels across multiple revenue streams
  • Uploading invoices and purchase orders to customer portals
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc duties as required

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a similar hands-on telephone-based credit control role
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting/CRM systems and Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
  • Awareness of cyber-secure working practices
