Digital X-Ray Field Service Engineer | Full Time | £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience plus Company Vehicle

Our client is the UK's leading independent specialist in 2D & 3D digital dental x-ray, CBCT, and intraoral camera equipment.

The company has a nationwide customer base with a small team covering all, and their office is in Shoreham-by-Sea, which means frequent overnight stays - sometimes for the whole week (Monday to Thursday incl.), especially during the early training period (for the first 6 weeks essentially) and later for installations etc. 

To succeed in this role, you will be dynamic and motivated to join an expanding team responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting 2D & 3D digital dental x-ray equipment in private clinics and major hospitals in the UK.

The work will require efficient planning and involves frequent overnight stays. Whilst the majority of the work involves working at the customer site individually, you must also communicate effectively with customers and the larger team to produce a total solution.

Are you the right person for the job?

You must hold a clean driving license
You must have good verbal and communication skills
You will have good organisation skills and be able to plan ahead
Be competent in working with a range of mechanical and electronic tools
Be practically minded, with an aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
You should also be comfortable using different software, and have had experience with the Windows environment and Windows networking as well as computer hardware
What will your role as a Digital X-Ray Field Service Engineer look like?

Nationwide travel to customers, involving frequent overnight stays each week
Installation & commissioning, repairing and servicing of 2D & 3D digital dental x-ray and dental CBCT equipment
Keeping equipment operational by following the manufacturers' instructions and their established procedures for preventive and corrective maintenance, liaising with team members and contacting suppliers for advanced support when required
Providing technical advice and support to end users by telephone and online
Undertaking relevant training
Analysis and interpretation of data
Completing reports and updating assigned tickets fully in order to communicate to the wider team all essential and up-to-date information
Completing job sheets for all work carried out, including any remote support; and passing through to the admin team for processing
Provide support at exhibitions (about 3 times a year)
Maintain Company Vehicle in line with company procedures
