Tenancy Services Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Tenancy Services Officer to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service across a defined patch of general needs, sheltered and leasehold properties.

This is a varied and rewarding role focused on tenancy sustainment, estate management, anti-social behaviour, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a designated housing patch, dealing with tenancy sign-ups, breaches, ASB cases, resident disputes and estate issues

*

Conduct tenancy audits, home visits, estate inspections and introductory tenancy reviews

*

Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, issuing warnings and notices where appropriate

*

Prepare legal documentation and attend court when required

*

Work proactively to support vulnerable tenants and prevent tenancy breakdown

*

Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to deliver coordinated support

*

Respond to complaints, enquiries and elected representative correspondence within set timescales

*

Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action

*

Maintain accurate case records using housing management systems

*

Contribute to service improvement initiatives and performance targets

About You

*

Proven experience in tenancy management, including ASB and enforcement

*

Strong knowledge of housing law and tenancy management best practice

*

Experience supporting vulnerable residents and promoting tenancy sustainment

*

Confident managing a busy caseload and working to performance standards

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*

Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and fairly

*

Competent using IT and case management systems

*

Professional qualification in housing (CIH Level 3) or willingness to work towards
