Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Gateshead
Salary: £52,500 per annum
Hours: 4 on 4 off - 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am (rotating shifts)

We're on the lookout for a talented Multi Skilled Engineer to join a leading manufacturer based in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out engineering tasks in line with PPM schedules and targets

Respond promptly to breakdowns and prioritise repair work effectively

Monitor machine performance and support improvements in efficiency

Work closely with planning teams to coordinate machine availability

Provide technical support to production teams where required

Support external contractors on site as needed

Ensure all documentation and sign-offs are completed accurately

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times

About You:

Time-served engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ, HNC or equivalent)

Confident in both electrical and mechanical fault finding

Able to safely isolate, access and work within control panels

Experienced in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment

Able to fully strip, reassemble and adjust production machinery

PC literate and comfortable using maintenance systems

Proactive, reliable and team-oriented with a hands-on approach
