Management Accountant - Little Lion Entertainment

Launched in 2016, Little Lion Entertainment is the creator of The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience and Arcade Arena, host of Chaos Karts and PAC-MAN LIVE EXPERIENCE. Blending a love of nostalgia, with world class performance, award-winning game play and the unexpected, the business is looking to develop multiple sites and partnerships across the globe, exploiting a stable of unique IP to create new concepts and own multiple brands. Little Lion is a fast-growing business with an ambitious team and are looking to maintain the ongoing growth with the support of a Management Accountant to support the team.
The Role:
The Management Accountant is an ambitious and creative individual that supports the Company’s Finance function. Working closely with the Finance team, you will become our in-house specialist for maintaining and developing Management Accounting and Reporting.
You will be working on site Monday - Thursday and from home on Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts for 3 attraction entities, including commentary in preparation for Board packs
- Management reporting for 5 secondary entities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly payroll review and sign off
- VAT return preparation
- External audit management
- Weekly cash flow management and reporting
- Quarterly IP royalty and banking reporting
- Annual Budget and Forecast process owner
- Tax relief management - R&D, Theatre Tax Relief, VGEC
- Support the Finance Director in ad hoc project work
- Management of Finance Assistant
Role Requirements
Essential:
- Ability to demonstrate Management Accounting experience, preferably in the leisure sector
- Alternatively, first move from an accountancy practice to industry, being able to demonstrate a strong track record of auditing similar sized SME’s
- Experience working autonomously and handling multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, Excel in particular
- Competent in understanding and interpreting data
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A collaborative work ethic which supports Little Lion’s values
- An understanding of the role of Management Accountant and how it fits within the broader Finance team and business
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified (c4-5 exams to qualification)
Desired:
- Experience of involvement in system implementations such as accounting, payroll, ticketing platforms
- Previous user of Xero
- Experience within the leisure industry
