REED is proud to partner with a Christian charity care home in Worthing to recruit a Business Manager. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and people management aspects of the home while upholding its Christian ethos and ensuring the highest standards of care for residents.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the Service Team to maintain exceptional service delivery and cleanliness standards.
- Provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to both residents and staff, in line with the home’s Christian values.
- Manage the home’s budget and financial administration, including invoicing, petty cash, and fee processing, in collaboration with the Head Office team.
- Oversee all aspects of HR and people management, including recruitment, staff records, rotas, appraisals, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Coordinate staff training and development in line with organisational policies.
- Prepare monthly operational reports and submit payroll-related data to Head Office.
- Act as the designated ‘responsible officer’ for health and safety, public health, and fire regulations when on duty.
- Support the home’s strategic goals by fostering community relationships (including with local churches), maximising occupancy, and enhancing residents’ quality of life.
Required Skills & Qualifications - A commitment to maintaining and promoting the Christian ethos of the home.
- Proven management experience in a business or care setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
- Effective leadership and team motivation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT systems.
- Flexible and willing to attend training and staff meetings as required.
