Quality Team Lead

Location: Bridgwater
Hours: Full time, day shift hours (early finish on Friday)

Summary of the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Team Lead to oversee quality assurance processes and manage a team of quality professionals. The successful candidate will ensure products and services meet customer and regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Team Lead:

* Lead, mentor and develop Quality Engineers, Technicians and Operatives.

* Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the business.

* Monitor and report on key quality metrics and team performance.

* Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.

* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

* Collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain teams.

* Facilitate internal, customer and regulatory audits and manage follow-up actions.

* Develop and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, work instructions and inspection plans.

* Lead and manage projects as required.

Key Skills and Experience of a Quality Team Lead:

* Proven experience managing and leading a team.

* Background in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.

* Higher National Diploma or equivalent.

* Auditing experience.

* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.

* Results-driven, data-focused approach with a track record in continuous improvement.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

* Strong technical and analytical abilities, including use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC).

* Experience with quality management systems and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS 9100, IATF 16949).

* Proficient in conducting internal and supplier audits
