Our client, an entrepreneurial consumer luxury goods company is seeking a focused, dedicated and driven Midwest Merchandising Account Representative to join their team.

Full-time, direct opportunity needed to support expanding customer base.

Combination of working virtually and travel (50%+)

The Midwest Account Executive will be responsible for developing, managing and driving sales in the designated territory with both independent and national accounts.  This position requires analyzing current businesses and creating strategies to present to management for approval and execution. In addition, this position requires sales prospecting and opening new accounts which align with corporate goals and objectives.   This position also requires certain technical skills including the ability to manage accounts via an online customer relationship management system.

Independent Accounts

  • Achieve seasonal sales goals through stores visits, trainings, events, business meetings and through planning, communication and follow up.  Build strong relationships with existing accounts
  • Create new relationships with prospective accounts that align with the brand
  • Take a proactive approach to making recommendations to further drive the business in-season, identify and react to new opportunities internally and externally
  • Responsibility to include: order confirmation of fashion and replenishment reorders, seasonal RTVs
  • Lead new collection presentations and assortment recommendations
  • Stay abreast of the competitive market place
  • Cultivate fluid relationships with account planners to revise projections to support business demand, determine risk and opportunity across the category

National Accounts

  • Responsible for sell thru of multiple major department doors with a strategic focus on quality of sale (profitability, promotional activity, brand imaging)
  • Achieve seasonal sales goals through stores visits, trainings, events, business meetings and through planning and follow up. 
  • Communicate fluidly on a weekly basis while developing strong relationships with key department store contacts
  • Take a proactive approach to making recommendations to further drive the business in-season, identify and react to new opportunities internally and externally
  • Effectively communicate goals and partner with internal cross-functional teams as needed.

Territory:

The Account Executive plays a critical role in driving significant sales growth through retailers within an assigned territory.  50%+ travel will be required.
