I am currently working with an engineering business in Hereford that’s looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to its growing team. Given your background, I thought this could be of interest.

This is a permanent role offering a salary of up to £45,000 plus benefits, where you’ll play a key part in taking products from concept through to production. You’ll be involved in both new product development and continuous improvement, working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading electrical design for special purpose equipment (schematics, control panels, cable schedules)
• Selecting electrical components with compliance and safety in mind
• Supporting PLC-based control systems
• Producing detailed electrical documentation and contributing to design reviews and testing

What they’re looking for:

• Experience in electrical product design or development
• Background in R&D or New Product Development
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, proactive approach
• Experience with control panels, PLCs, or VSDs would be an advantage
