About the Role:
We are seeking a resilient, calm, and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other behavioural challenges in our SEN school.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in managing challenging behaviour using restorative and therapeutic approaches.

De-escalate situations calmly and effectively, ensuring a safe learning environment.

Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Help implement individual behaviour plans and monitor progress.

Assist with academic tasks, encouraging engagement and focus.

Requirements:

Experience working with challenging behaviour or in an SEN/SEMH setting.

Strong behaviour management skills.

Patience, empathy, and resilience.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
