Early Careers & Development Advisor – 12-month FTC (Law Firm)

A leading international law firm is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Early Careers & Development Advisor to join its busy Early Careers & Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. About the role

As an Early Careers & Development Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Early Careers & Development Manager across recruitment, attraction, trainee development and wider HR processes. You will also support the Early Careers & Development Coordinator and take ownership of the full running of early careers programmes, including vacation schemes and outreach initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:


• Assisting with attraction strategy, university engagement and brand-building activity


• Managing the firm’s Instagram page and working with a social media agency to produce content


• Planning and attending networking events, law fairs, presentations and skills sessions


• Coordinating insight days and building relationships with universities and student groups


• Supporting recruitment processes including application screening, interview scheduling and feedback


• Leading the organisation of vacation schemes, including sessions, assessments, socials and onboarding


• Supporting inclusion initiatives and meeting regularly with inclusion groups


• Managing trainee induction, ongoing training and seat rotation processes


• Overseeing secondments, visas and documentation


• Supporting qualification processes and scheduling 1:1 trainee development meetings


• Overseeing future trainee administration and onboarding new joiners


• Supporting general project work and wider team initiatives [

About you

To succeed as an Early Careers & Development Advisor, you should have:


• Experience working in early careers or trainee development


• Experience within professional services, ideally a law firm


• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• A friendly, enthusiastic and proactive approach


• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work flexibly


• A willingness to learn, develop and work collaboratively as part of a team
