Location: Trafford Park, Greater Manchester

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 4.30pm (with some flexibility regarding start and finish times).

Position Overview:

As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of quality assurance and control within the food manufacturing and packaging process. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

* Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.

* Manage customer and third-party external audit processes, ensuring the site not only meets but exceeds requisite standards.

* Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality-related issues and drive process improvements.

* Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

* Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality control activities, including test results, inspection reports, and compliance certifications.

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

* Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality assurance or quality control within the food manufacturing industry.

* Proficiency in BRC processes, standards, and adeptness in documentation control.

* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards, such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO.

* Proven team leadership skills

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
