Maintenance Team Leader

We're working with a small, friendly property management company in Brixton who are looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join them on a 6‑month contract — with every possibility of longer‑term opportunities for the right person.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you'll be the main point of support for two Maintenance Coordinators, ensuring the smooth running of all day‑to‑day maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Support, guide and assist two Maintenance Coordinators

* Oversee Fixflo and ensure all maintenance cases, reports and KPIs are on track

* Manage contractor relationships, quotes, insurances and annual renewals

* Approve invoices (up to £500) and support budget tracking

* Handle maintenance complaints and escalate where necessary

* Carry out property and communal inspections

* Liaise with caretakers and ensure all caretaker reports/action points are completed

* Manage orders (Screwfix, Amazon, IKEA etc.) and ensure stock is tracked

* Work closely with Lettings on move‑ins and maintenance‑related requests

* Support with PRS complaints, meter readings, wayleave forms and general admin

* Maintain team morale and a positive working environment

What We're Looking For

* Strong experience in residential maintenance or repairs coordination

* Confident communicator who can lead, support and bring structure to a team

* Experience with Fixflo (or similar maintenance systems)

* Good knowledge of tenant responsibilities, repairs timeframes and property compliance

* Organised, proactive, and able to juggle a varied workload

* A genuine people‑person with strong problem‑solving skills

* Available to start quickly (up to 1‑month notice considered)
