About this position:

As a HR Generalist Benefits Administration, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to the organizational leaders and operations department regarding benefit enrollment and changes, leaves of absence management, plan audits and general plan administration. The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring an attractive and quality benefit package is provided and administered accurately for the entire organization of 600+ employees across our property sites and/or corporate office. You will work directly with the Area Vice Presidents, Regional Managers and Property Managers. The HR Generalist will have a thorough understanding of the overall workforce and operational responsibilities within the Property Management industry.

 

This position requires a wide range of abilities including strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills, flexibility, high energy and attention to detail. A high standard of professionalism and an engaging personality is required, as the HR Generalist is the primary point of contact for site-level managers and employees regarding benefit and leave questions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as a consultant to all team members regarding benefit plans, enrollment instructions, plan administration and maintenance for all medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and ancillary plans.
  • Administer and track all leaves of absence including short-term disability, long-term disability, FMLA and other leaves as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead all plan audit and compliance initiatives, including 5500 filings and 1095, as well as developing and leading an internal audit effort.
  • Lead new hire orientation training, as well as routine benefit orientation and education sessions for all new and existing team members.
  • Facilitate supplemental benefit programs, including all health and wellness programs, and drive awareness and engagement among the employee population.
  • Stay abreast operational goals and directives to ensure consistency with HR guidance.
  • Represent ROCO with the highest level of courtesy, professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Participate in and/or lead other employee engagement initiatives or special assignments as needed.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience in HR and benefit plan administration
  • Expertise in FMLA, ADA and leave of absence compliance and implications
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to self-direct, prioritize competing tasks and handle constant change
