Job Opportunity: Quality Engineer (Fixed Term - 12 Months)

A well-established and respected aerospace manufacturing company based in Christchurch is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its dedicated Projects Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the business's largest ongoing contract, working with a globally recognised aerospace customer.

🔧 About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing quality standards throughout a major aerospace programme. You'll work closely with engineering and production teams, providing quality planning, resolving non-conformance issues, and driving continuous improvement across processes.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

* Interpret and apply engineering drawings and technical specifications to quality processes

* Create and maintain quality plans, control plans, and support non-conformance resolution

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns

* Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

* Support internal audits and external inspections

* Recommend and implement improvements to quality systems

✅ What We're Looking For

* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and documentation

* Strong communication skills for effective teamwork across departments

* Experience with quality planning, non-conformance management, and control documentation

* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

* Ability to work independently and take initiative

* Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes

* Experience with Faro Arm, CMM, or similar metrology equipment is desirable, not essential

🕐 Working Hours & Contract Details

* Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

* Friday: 7:00am - 12:00 noon (Early Finish!)

* Contract: Fixed Term - 12 Months

* Start Date: ASAP

* Location: Christchurch, Dorset (on-site)
