Deputy Garden Centre Manager

As you an experienced retailer, ideally with knowledge of "seasonal retail" looking to build your career within a garden centre environment

Our client is looking for a Deputy Garden Centre Manager to join a forward-thinking team. Working in the Garden Centre this is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.

The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role, and some heavy lifting may be required.

A knowledge of plants would be a “nice to have” but is not essential to the role, however, excellent customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising is required as is previous retail management experience.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Duties include:

Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team to deliver excellent customer service.

Monitor and manage store inventory, visual merchandising, and be commercial.

Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to meet store targets
