22 Kings Ripton is a supported living service for adults aged 18+ with autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, restricted mobility, hearing impairments, emotional needs and epilepsy.
Indviduals at 22 Kings Ripton lead active lives, and are supported to take part in a range of activities both within the service and in the community in order to increase social and communication skills.
Leisure activities that people have been taking part in include day centre activities, walks in the surrounding areas, gardening, spa days, bowling, sailing, swimming, gym sessions and trips to the cinema.
People are also supported to take part in any education, volunteering and work placements they wish to, and many individuals are currently taking part in voluntary work which greatly increases independence.
People are also supported on any day trips and holidays they wish to go on.
What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker.
If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.
You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
A basic level of English and Math is also required.
