Morson Edge are working with a leading construction and facilities contractor to recruit a Document Controller to support delivery across projects in the South West region.

This is a 12-month contract role with strong potential for extension, supporting a live Ministry of Justice project. The successful candidate must be based in the South West and able to work from either the Newport (Gwent) satellite office or permanently on-site.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating project documentation to ensure accurate control, distribution and compliance across the project lifecycle.

This role will involve close coordination with subcontractors, project teams and stakeholders to maintain document integrity and ensure processes are followed in line with project and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure correct naming, version control and distribution of drawings
Issue drawings and documentation to subcontractors
Upload and manage documentation via 4Projects (including issuing notifications)
Maintain and circulate drawing registers
Upload drawings and documentation onto the MoJ platform for review
Support general project administration where required
Provide document control support across additional South West projects if needed

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction or facilities environments
Strong working knowledge of 4Projects (essential)
Experience using SharePoint (essential)
Valid CSCS Card
Ability to complete and obtain BPSS clearance prior to start
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple document streams accurately

Desirable

Experience working on Ministry of Justice (MoJ) or secure projects
Experience within live site environments
