At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate LGV Trainer to join their expanding team based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with travel to learner and employer locations when required.

This is a full-time permanent position focused on supporting learners through their full training journey from enrolment to achievement. You will play a vital role in developing learners' knowledge, skills, and confidence, helping them succeed within the logistics and transport industry.

What you will be doing:
• Manage and plan your diary to ensure consistent and effective learner contact
• Identify learner needs and create structured learning plans with clear and achievable goals
• Observe, assess, and review learner work to ensure it meets qualification standards
• Provide clear, constructive, and supportive feedback to help learners progress
• Monitor learner progress and ensure timely completion in line with targets and expectations
• Maintain accurate learner records and provide compliance documentation for funding requirements
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment through mock activities and targeted support
• Support internal quality assurance and standardisation activities
• Vet, enroll, and support learners from induction through to completion
• Provide pastoral care and safeguarding support where required

What we are looking for:
• Valid Category C license with relevant driving or logistics industry experience
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and supporting learners
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to motivate and engage a range of learners
• Professional approach with the ability to manage performance and support improvement
• Willingness to travel to learner and employer locations
• Flexibility with working hours to meet industry needs
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Desirable:
• Teaching or assessing qualification
• Experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training
• Understanding of End Point Assessment and apprenticeship standards
• Ability to adapt delivery using a range of learning styles

Salary and benefits:
• Salary £35,000 to £38,000 per annum depending on experience
