SEN Teaching Assistant - Bridgwater 🌟
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 15:30
Pay: £13.68 p/h - £16.14 p/h (PAYE/Umbrella)

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bridgwater. This is a full-time role supporting a pupil with special education needs.

💼 The Role:

Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism and complex communication needs.
Use visual aids and picture exchange systems (PECS) to support learning and communication.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider support team.

✅ Requirements:

Experience working with children with autism or SEN in an educational setting.
Knowledge of non-verbal communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
